Dushku Amy

Dollhouse Review   by Kenta

Dollhouse is a sci-fi TV series aired from 2009 to 2010. The show has a very original and unique idea. It is about people signing up to become a “doll” where they are brainwashed to become someone else to serve any purpose a client asks for. The purposes often include sexual fantasies, making the client look good in public, and sometimes – assassination. The dolls are under contract that they forget everything they did within the times of their brainwash. And contracts usually last for like 3-5 years if I remember correctly.

This is a good show because it has a very fresh idea. Every episode features beautiful ladies including the main casts Eliza Dushku, Dichen Lachman, and Amy Acker. Every episode is interesting filled with excitement, intrigue, mystery, comedy, and drama. And the sci-fi aspect of brainwashing is just fascinating. That is especially when it combines with the character Topher played by Fran Kranz. He is definitely my favorite character of the show. He is a genius who is completely geeky which makes him very, very humorous to watch. His acting is superb and will make you love him for sure.

The show does not simply go on with dolls going on mission after mission. There is a bigger story arc behind it all which the viewers will be exposed to later on. The main character Echo, played by Eliza Dushku, starts to remember things from her life before she became a doll. And she realizes that she was forced to become one instead of doing so willingly for the money. From this point, things start to get exciting and intense as she starts to figure out who she really was and what the dollhouse’s true purpose is.

It’s a show filled with entertainment fun, exciting actions, and lots of surprises. If you’re looking for a sci-fi TV show like that, then you’ve definitely wanna check out Dollhouse.
